Business Analyst – Corporate Digital Banking, Payments & API Banking

Job Summary The Business Analyst at Synechron will support the delivery of new products and services through agile delivery squads across TBS channels, including web, mobile, Host-to-Host and API Banking. The role will translate business needs into clearly defined epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and release plans. The position will work closely with the Sr. Product Owner, Solution Architects, Scrum Masters, engineers, testers, operations teams, platform owners, customers and other stakeholders to ensure that products meet business, regulatory, operational and customer expectations.

The role contributes to business objectives by enabling effective product backlog management, timely product delivery, stakeholder alignment, customer adoption, production stability, testing efficiency and the enterprise-level reuse of relevant capabilities across TBS, EI and International entities.

- Documentation, collaboration and presentation tools used for stakeholder communication, product familiarization sessions and training.

Preferred

- Practical experience with channel platforms such as iGTB, TCS-BANCS and iCashpro+.

- Experience with API testing, API payload validation and API setup tools.

- Experience with automated regression testing, test execution reporting and test-result analysis.

- Experience with tools supporting migration planning, customer adoption tracking and production incident reporting.

- Experience with enterprise collaboration and knowledge-management tools used to publish product information and training content.

Overall Responsibilities

Product Analysis and Delivery

- Support the delivery of new products and services through agile delivery squads for TBS web, mobile, Host-to-Host and API Banking channels.

- Ensure that new products and features with relevant use cases for other entities, including EI and International, are assessed for enterprise-level availability based on demand and relevance.

- Ensure that all new BRDs are reviewed, agreed and accepted by the relevant stakeholders.

- Translate business needs into clear, precise and value-driven epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria.

- Ensure that the right and efficient solution is designed by Solution Architects to meet customer expectations and business requirements.

- Provide timely analysis, clarification and delivery support to the agile squad.

Product Backlog Management

- Facilitate the Sr. Product Owner in developing and explicitly communicating the Product Goal.

- Review, prioritize and publish the channel backlog at regular intervals.

- Maintain a transparent, visible and stakeholder-understood Product Backlog.

- Maintain an adequately refined backlog covering T+2 sprints, where T is the current sprint.

- Facilitate Product Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews and prioritization workshops.

- Support epic and feature prioritization by assessing business value, customer impact, dependencies, risk, regulatory considerations and delivery effort.

Product Release Management

- Facilitate the Sr. Product Owner in creating and maintaining the Product Release Backlog.

- Clearly define which features are intended for release and when.

- Support the development of the product release plan in line with agreed priorities, dependencies, sizing and delivery timelines.

- Establish a customer feedback loop to capture and incorporate the voice of the customer.

- Support product demos, customer experience and design journey workshops, and customer usability testing workshops.

Product Testing and Launch Readiness

- Ensure that test case repositories are continuously updated with scenarios relevant to real business situations.

- Leverage automated testing tools and scripts to optimize testing efficiency.

- Support requirements traceability between BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, test cases and production outcomes.

- Conduct comprehensive production sanity testing with pilot clients before launch.

- Confirm that business, operational, customer, integration and payment scenarios are adequately covered before release.

Product Delivery and Agile Ways of Working

- Share joint accountability with the Sr. Product Owner for end-to-end product delivery against committed timelines and sizing, where practicable.

- Conduct Refinement and Planning sessions and provide the team with required business inputs.

- Work with Scrum Masters to identify inefficiencies and impediments affecting team delivery.

- Participate in Quarterly Planning and PI Planning sessions, Daily Standups, Sprint Retrospectives and Scrum of Scrums.

- Provide clarification and decision support to the squad throughout the delivery lifecycle.

- Track delivery risks, dependencies, assumptions, decisions and actions to support predictable outcomes.

Stakeholder Management

- Identify, map and manage stakeholders relevant to the product.

- Facilitate feature prioritization sessions to obtain stakeholder alignment.

- Establish and maintain communication channels that keep stakeholders informed about progress, decisions, risks, dependencies and changes.

- Conduct product demo sessions and capture stakeholder feedback.

- Manage conflicts and resolve issues across internal and external product squads.

- Conduct periodic product familiarization sessions and training for relevant users and stakeholders.

Production Support and Issue Resolution

- Own Product Technical Support covering incidents, problem tickets, customer queries and complaints.

- Facilitate the tracking of production issues related to account information and payment services across corporate channels and core platforms, including Finacle, Payment Hub, BPM, Express Clear, SWIFT and FTS.

- Liaise with the respective platform owners to prioritize, escalate, investigate and close issues based on severity and ageing.

- Support root-cause analysis, impact assessment, corrective actions and customer communications.

- Ensure that lessons learned from production issues are reflected in requirements, test cases, process documentation and backlog items.

TBS Channel Responsibilities

- Apply proven expertise in TBS internet, mobile and API channels.

- Support channel onboarding across business banking and corporate segments.

- Apply working knowledge of at least one TBS channel, such as iGTB, TCS-BANCS or iCashpro+.

- Support the setup of Corporate Profiles, User Management, Authorization Matrix, Payment Rules and Day-0 maintenance.

- Support the migration of customers to a new corporate banking channel.

- Apply detailed working knowledge of API Banking payloads and API channel setup.

- Support payment initiation through Internet, Mobile, API and Host-to-Host channels.

Payments Domain Responsibilities

- Apply end-to-end knowledge of outward and inward electronic payment processing across domestic and international payment schemes.

- Apply payment processing experience across relevant country or regional schemes, with preferred exposure to UAE, KSA, Egypt, India and the UK.

- Understand payment processing through pre-processor hubs, payment engines and gateways.

- Apply working knowledge of SWIFT MT, ISO 20022 / SWIFT MX and payment-rail-specific formats.

- Understand payment rails and clearing schemes such as SARIE, SADAD, ACH, RTGS, NEFT and IMPS.

- Apply working knowledge of cheque clearing systems, including Onus, Offus and PDC.
