About our Team:- The team is responsible for technically supporting editorial relationships and licenses for secondary content. The team themselves are highly collaborative and supportive, with the role having the ability to grow.

About the Role:- The Salesforce developer engages directly with global, multi-functional teams to provide user support and assist in strategic development and enhancement of the Customer Relationship Management application (Salesforce).  This includes, but is not limited to, direct user engagement and support, key stakeholder support and business analysis, continual business process improvement, assessment and advancement of complementary Salesforce technologies, and alignment to overarching Sales & Marketing business objectives.The Salesforce developer acts as the business-facing Subject Matter Expert for the Salesforce technology stack; primary responsibilities include real-time user support, end-user documentation, assistance in capturing and evaluating business requirements, stakeholder support during UAT and various phases of the development lifecycle, and execution of required development throughout phased implementation.  The primary objective of this role is to ensure that Elsevier has a functionally sound and stable Salesforce deployment, and that the desired level of user support is being achieved.

Responsibilities: -

- Work directly with various business leaders and sales teams; direct accountability for end-user support

- Provide system and business process expertise when scoping projects and related integrations

- Review solution summaries where appropriate to ensure adherence to best practices and fit-for-purpose, user-focused development

- Demonstrable growth mindset; enthusiastic about learning new technologies quickly and applying the gained knowledge to address business problems

- Integration monitoring and trouble-shooting

- Documentation and knowledge sharing; technical, business process, best practice, reference architecture, etc.

- Applies advanced Salesforce technical principles and concepts; contributes to the development of new principles and concepts

- Works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives; assignments are often self-initiated, determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results, work checked through consultation and agreement with business stakeholders more often than by formal review of superior

Requirements: -

- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field preferred

- 1+ years previous administrative experience with Salesforce

- Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator or Developer certification preferred

- Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder certification preferred

- Experience working in Agile projects

- Strong understanding of how to build and support highly scalable and reliable solutions on Salesforce Platform

- Proven ability to manage and resolve complex and ambiguous technical issues

- Demonstrated support success with at least one large Salesforce Org

- Understanding of UI design principles and best practices

- Exceptional analytical skills and experience working with large-scale, complex datasets

- Communication skills for both a technical and business audience
