Job Summary Synechron is hiring a Java Backend Developer to build and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs. This role supports business goals by delivering reliable, secure, and high-performing services.

Software Requirements Required

- Java 8+

- Spring Boot , Spring MVC

- REST APIs

- Microservices knowledge

- MySQL , familiarity with MongoDB

- Git

- Maven or Gradle

- Basic Docker knowledge

Preferred

- PostgreSQL , Redis

- Kafka or RabbitMQ

- Basic cloud exposure: AWS , Azure , or GCP

- JUnit , Mockito

- OAuth2 , JWT

- Kubernetes

Overall Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and APIs

- Integrate with frontend systems and third-party services

- Write clean, reusable, and efficient code

- Conduct code reviews and improve code quality

- Troubleshoot backend issues and optimize performance

- Implement security and data protection measures

- Collaborate with QA, product, and frontend teams

Databases / Data Management Essential: MySQL, MongoDB familiarity Preferred: PostgreSQL, Redis

Cloud Technologies Essential: None Preferred: AWS, Azure, or GCP basics

Frameworks and Libraries Essential: Spring Boot, Spring MVC Preferred: JUnit, Mockito

Development Tools and Methodologies Essential: Git, Maven/Gradle, REST, microservices, Agile Preferred: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins

Security Protocols Essential: Basic application security practices Preferred: OAuth2, JWT

Experience Requirements

- 5+ years of Java backend development experience

- Experience building APIs and backend services

- Experience in microservices or service-based environments

- Equivalent practical experience may also be considered

Day-to-Day Activities

- Develop backend features and APIs

- Maintain and improve existing services

- Review code and resolve issues

- Write tests and technical documentation

- Join stand-ups, sprint planning, and team collaboration sessions

Qualifications Required

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience

- Relevant Java certifications
